"The funeral will take place in silence in the circle of only the immediate family," Fredriksson's manager Marie Dimberg said in a press release.

For fans who want to show their participation, a condolence book is opened at a memorial site outside the former EMI studio in Skärmarbrink in southern Stockholm. In the studio, now called Baggpipe, several of Roxette's hit songs were recorded.

According to a post on Roxette's Facebook page, the family asks the mourners to think about the Cancer Foundation instead of leaving flowers.

Marie Fredriksson passed away on Monday at the age of 61. She leaves behind husband and two children.
