INTERVIEW

The 33rd edition of the Telethon closed on Saturday. The mobilization paid off with 74.6 million euros of pledges at the moment when the teams of France Televisions made the antenna. A figure significantly higher, 5 million euros compared to last year. Laurence Tiennot-Herment, President of AFM Téléthon, congratulates Culture-Médias on this success and the quality of this year's show.

"It's the emotion I really want to share"

"It was a show of very good quality but it is especially the emotion that I really want to share," says Laurence Tiennot-Herment at the microphone of Europe 1. "We saw particularly poignant testimonies of families, the enthusiasm of researchers who now have treatments to offer patients, "says the president of AFM Telethon.

Testimonials that have been particularly watched. Indeed, if pledges are up, this is also the case for hearings. The prime time of the Telethon had not been as watched since 2016. "We have seen and heard a great deal of medical victories, thanks to the therapy that today saves babies who were yesterday condemned," says Laurence Tiennot-Herment.
