The American giant asked the cinemas that were going to screen the film to inform the public of the risks of epileptic seizures. The film contains scenes that may affect people sensitive to photosensitive epilepsy.

As Star Wars IX: Skywalker's ascent comes out on Dec. 18, Disney has cracked an uncharacteristic release. Indeed, the film of JJ Abrams contains many passages with flashing lights likely to cause epileptic seizures in the most sensitive. Disney therefore asks the rooms concerned to prevent these risks.

"Several sequences with images and flashing lights supported"

In its press release, Disney states: "As a precaution, we recommend that you provide the ticket office in your room, online and at any other appropriate location where your customers will see it, a notice containing the following information: ' Star Wars IX Skywalker's ascent contains several sequences with sustained flashing images and lights that can affect those who are sensitive to photosensitive epilepsy or have other photosensitivities.

That's not all, since the firm has also partnered with the Epilepsy Foundation which has published some recommendations. Among them, the following: "Ask a friend to go see the movie first Take your friend when you go see the movie to warn you of scenes that contain flashing lights to block your eyes during these scenes.

The Epilepsy Foundation also recalled the different reflexes to have in case of epileptic seizures in someone: stay with the victim and time the crisis, to clear the void around and remove any potentially dangerous object, position it on the side to facilitate breathing.
