The Sendai winter page, “SENDAI Hikari no Pageant,” has been launched on the 6th to decorate the row of zelkova trees in the center of Sendai with approximately 600,000 light bulbs.
“SENDAI Hikari Pageant” is a winter feature of Sendai that colors 160 trees of zelkova trees in Jozenji-dori, Aoba-ku, Sendai, with about 600,000 LED bulbs.
On the 6th, a lighting ceremony was held, and at 5:30 pm, a light bulb attached to the zelkova tree lined up all at the same time as the countdown signal.
Visitors enjoyed the first winter feature of Reiwa by stopping and viewing the fantastic light scenery and taking photos.
A man in his 30s who visited his family from Tochigi Prefecture said, “It was my first time, but I was very beautiful and surprised.
