Seventeen people were killed when a large wall collapsed on their homes as they slept in heavy rains in a village in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
The six-meter-long wall collapsed in an area 50 kilometers north of Coimbatore, the Times of India reported.
Two children were among the dead in the area, which was hit by heavy monsoon rains, a police official told AFP.
