HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, affirmed that the Union Day is a historic day firm in the memory and conscience of Emiratis.
In a speech delivered on the occasion of the 48th National Day of the UAE, His Highness said that this day is a time when we remember bright stations and inspire a brilliant future for a country that boasts of its exceptional leadership, which uniquely and successfully sets a unique model among nations with a vision and unwavering determination.

// On this glorious day, we recall the greatness of the efforts of the founding leaders, in the meeting of their word and their will to build the Union, which was based on the belief of the late founding leader Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, “May God rest his soul”, on the importance of unity. His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, has followed the path of the UAE's confident progress in achieving further achievements.
Union Day, a historic day firmly in the memory and conscience of the Emiratis, we recall bright stations, and inspire a brilliant future for a nation that boasts of its exceptional leadership, whose wisdom sets a unique and successful model among nations, with the unwavering vision and determination of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President. The Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and their brothers, members of the Supreme Council of the UAE Rulers.
The UAE, which has become one of the most prosperous, secure and stable countries in the world, is confidently moving towards new horizons with no limits to its ambitions, bearing in mind the centenary of the UAE 2071 with the determination of its leadership and its citizens to understand its true wealth, which is reflected in the promising future. Rational leadership approach based on its international relations based on a long heritage and genuine civilization and respect for the principles of human rights in the highest sense, has become the title of the civilized state, and an oasis of peace, coexistence and tolerance.
