Guinness, the official authority to break and record records in the world, has unveiled a selection of records set by UAE institutions, coinciding with the 48th UAE National Day. All indices revealed by the Foundation shared one theme: tolerance.

Guinness World Records for the UAE's 48th National Day included:

1. The largest natural flower carpet in the world

On November 22, the Ministry of Tolerance, in collaboration with several federal and local institutions, launched a three-day initiative at the Festival City Dubai to break the world record for the world's largest natural flower carpet. Around 5,000 volunteers from university students, families, workers, employees, the elderly, people with disabilities and women participated in the weaving of the 5,400-square-meter carpet, which included five tons of flowers.

2. The largest number of nationalities seeking national peace

In a remarkable initiative organized by Watani Al Emarat on November 25, 120 different nationalities from across the country came together to break the world record for the highest number of nationalities seeking national peace, which previously stood at 117, with a total of 324 participants.

3. The biggest flag flies during a free jump from an airplane

Skydive Dubai set a global milestone on November 25, breaking the record for the biggest flag flying during a free jump from an airplane. The flag reached 144.28 square meters and continued to open for 38 seconds in the skies of Dubai during the celebrations of the National Day.

4 - the largest image of a space rocket formed by humans

The Pace Education Group has succeeded in breaking the record for “the biggest picture of a human space rocket” in celebration of the UAE's historic achievement by sending the first Emirati astronaut to the International Space Station.
