In the field of cryptocurrencies, news of fraud has always been frequent, from the piracy of currency exchanges to the disappearance of a currency issuer after the theft of client funds.

There is no more famous story than the woman behind the One Coin, known as the crypto monster.

Roja Ignatova, born in Sofia, Bulgaria, the woman behind One Coin, has persuaded investors around the world to pay a total of more than $ 4bn, in other words about $ 15bn, according to the BBC.

Investors have contributed to what has been promoted as a new vision of funds, presented by Dr. Roja Ignatova, 39, to a series of events around the world. One was at Wembley Stadium in London in 2016. It conveyed a message that One Queen would be “limitless, safe and easy to use”.

Dr. Roja, as her audience knew, was addressing the crowd and telling them about the progress of One Coin, and she was on her way to outperforming the famous Bitcoin, eliminating "all the pseudo-imitating coins" and calling herself the "Queen of Encryption."

According to the BBC, One Queen has spread its message around the world. Company documents show that individuals from 175 countries have invested in the company. Most of the investments were made during the six months of 2016, during a tour by Dr. Roja.

The documents show that China alone contributed about 427 million euros in 2016, and a large number of investments came from South Korea, Hong Kong and Germany. British investments in this currency amounted to 96 million pounds sterling.

But in 2017, Dr. Roja disappeared and has not been seen since, after she began spending her new fortune buying multimillion-dollar properties in the Bulgarian capital Sofia and the Black Sea resort of Sozopol, unlike a private luxury yacht.

Dr. Roja was sentenced in absentia last year in the United States for money laundering. The Justice Department said One Queen was just one of the traditional forms of circumvention.

In March, the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) arrested One Queen's project manager Constantine Ignatova, Roja Ignatova's brother, for conspiracy to commit cyber fraud.

One Queen rejects all fraud charges and says it "meets all cryptocurrency requirements."

The most important question remains: Where is Dr. Roja?

Earlier this year, US authorities revealed that she had traveled to Athens on October 25, 2017. It is her last recorded official trip, and since then no one knows where she went.

There are rumors that she has Russian and Ukrainian passports, it is also said that there are strong people protecting her in her native Bulgaria, that she could be hiding in full view by plastic surgery that makes her unknown, others said she might be in London, and finally he went Some have pointed to the possibility of her death, which is only a possibility.
