Real Madrid player Eden Hazard has criticized the awarding of the Golden Ball to Barcelona star Lionel Messi in the current year, stressing that the Liverpool players are entitled to receive this award.
Hazard said in a statement to the French newspaper Le Parisien, that he is surprised to give the golden ball to Argentine star, Lionel Messi, pointing out that one of the players of Liverpool "is deserved, especially Senegalese Sadio Mane, and Mohamed Salah, the Dutchman Virgil van Dyck.
He added: "If Mani won the African Cup of Nations, he would have won it without any discussion, as well as Salah deserves it, a friend."
