Iranian government spokesman Ali al-Rubaie admitted that the country is living its hardest days, according to the website of "Iran International - Arabic".
Rubaie added that considering sanctions "nothing" is a strategic mistake.
In a statement, the Iranian Council of Experts described the protesters as "saboteurs, breaches of security and opportunists", and accused "America and Israel and the People's Mujahideen Organization of the opposition" to ignite the protests, and called for "decisive with the protesters and try them."
