Syrian television reported hearing “explosions” early today near Damascus International Airport, without giving any further details.
Shortly afterwards, the Israeli army said it intercepted four rockets fired from Syria into northern Israel.
The IDF spokesman Avikhai Adrai said that the Iron Dome intercepted the four missiles and was dropped over the Syrian area of Quneitra.
Earlier, the Israeli army said in a statement that the sirens sounded to warn of rockets being fired towards the Golan Heights.
