On purchased advertising sites in Sölvesborg, works by eight artists from all over Sweden roll. With the Prohibited Art campaign, the artists want to comment on Samstyret's view of art, which they believe violates the principle of arm's length.

- Who defines what is challenging? Is nudity challenged? Is sexuality challenging? asks Bim Eriksson, one of the artists who exhibits.

- The role of politicians is to make sure that the art is financed, but then the arm's distance should apply and the art should work in its own direction. It is also very important today with fake news and everything we are facing is that this is maintained, she tells Culture News.

"Art cannot be stopped"

The hope is, according to Bim Eriksson, that the action will spark further debate about the risks of increased political influence over the content of the culture.

- I think activism that happens with a flash of humor falls out well and in this way we want to talk about that you can not stop the art, it exists and put everywhere, and the whole idea of art is that it should be challenging, says Bim Eriksson.

"It's provocative"

But the residents of Sölvesborg are far from impressed.

- It is clear that it should be able to show what it wants, but there must be some limit, says Olle Johansson.

- I understand that people are disturbed by this, it is provocative wherever you see it, says Cizzi Åhgren to SVT Blekinge.
