Under the patronage of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance, and in collaboration with the Symposium on Culture and Science and the Emirates Symphony Orchestra for Youth, a concert was held to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the founding of the orchestra and its 15th Music Festival for Peace, in the presence of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Mohammed bin Rashid Library, Mohammed Al Murr. The Chairman of the Symposium, Bilal Al-Bdour, Vice Chairman of the Symposium on Culture and Science, Ali Obaid Al-Hamli, Managing Director and Member of the Symposium Salah al-Qasim, writer Aisha Sultan, members of the Board of Directors of the symposium, and a bunch of audience and listeners.
The orchestra was attended by 40 young and creative musicians from the UAE, Bologna, China and the United States. They performed a variety of musical instruments in addition to the internationally renowned young violinist Choi from America.
The orchestra led the artist, Riyad Qudsi, who confirmed that the Emirates Symphony Orchestra of Youth has performed, during her career, hundreds of cultural, community and charity concerts, and came out many of the emerging musicians since its establishment in 1984, and is a living model of creativity and perseverance, and includes among its members a variety of nationalities resident on The land of the Emirates that embodies tolerance, love and equality among peoples. Qudsi added that the continuity of the orchestra was achieved thanks to the open environment in the UAE, and unlimited support from various parties such as the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Tolerance, the Dubai Culture Authority, Dubai Media City and the Abu Dhabi Culture and Arts Group, and other institutions, bodies and private and public companies.
He praised the orchestra's efforts, and praised the large audience, which reflects the spirit of tolerance and harmony in the country, and reflects the high artistic taste of the music audience, who was keen to attend and follow-up, and confirmed the support of the symposium of culture and science for all cultural, artistic and intellectual activities. The concert was marvelous, and the melodies of the UAE orchestra, residents and citizens, as well as visitors from the countries mentioned, were a living and true example of the spirit of love, tolerance and cooperation among nations, through the unified music of the peoples of the earth.
