Mr. Kenji Miura won the French Piano Competition 2nd place Ryogo Tsukakawa November 17 8:34

Kenji Miura (26) from Hyogo Prefecture won the victory in the piano section of the “Ron Thiborg Crespan International Competition”, a music contest that has a history of nearly 80 years in Paris, France. Ryogo (26) was selected as the 2nd place.

The “Ron Thiborg Crespan International Competition” is a young musician contest that has been held since 1943, and the top six players, including two Japanese, remained in the final of the piano division that has been held since this month.

As a result of the examination, Kenji Miura (26) from Hyogo Prefecture won the championship, and Ryogo Mizukawa (26) from Aichi Prefecture was selected second.

It is the first time in 12 years since 2007 that the Japanese won the piano category.

Miura-san "I'm too confused because it's unexpected"

Miura studied abroad in the UK at the age of 13, studied piano, and currently continues to perform all over the world while studying at a music university in Berlin, Germany.

Miura-san said, “I'm confused because it was too unexpected. I have come to see the next challenge through the competition, so I would like to take this opportunity as a musician and grow as a person.”

Ms. Mugawa

Ms. Mizukawa, who was selected second, studied at the Tokyo University of the Arts and the National Conservatoire de Paris in France, and continues to perform music activities based in Paris.

Ms. Munekawa said, “It is a satisfactory result. It was two weeks that I was nervous because I was going to go to the final. I am happy now.”
