This year's edition of the Music Aid, the twelfth in order, will be sent from Stora torget in Västerås between December 9 and 15. The theme is "Sex is not a weapon" and will focus on sexual violence that occurs in wars and conflicts around the world.

Just as in previous years, three people for six days should live in the famous glass cage and broadcast radio and television around the clock, for a total of 144 hours. And among this year's trio are two debutants, artist Miriam Bryant and comedian Daniel Hallberg, as well as a veteran, Farah Abadi.

- It's obviously super fun but also nervous. Partly because I don't know Miriam and Daniel before, and partly because I want everyone at home to understand how important this year's theme is and choose to get involved, says Farah Abadi in a press release.

Collected 50 million last year

Last year, the Music Aid raised over SEK 50 million under the theme "Everyone has the right to work differently".

In total, 606,337 engagements started and the collection was led by Daniel Adams-Ray, Farah Abadi and William Spetz.
