Egyptian police have found a decomposing body inside a deep crater in a mountainous area in the Egyptian Red Sea city of Hurghada, the Egyptian newspaper Al Shorouk reported.

The newspaper added that the Directorate of Security of the Red Sea received a notification from the people of the region to find the body of a young man in his third decade in a state of rotting, in a mountain cave south of Hurghada.

The prosecutor of Hurghada inspected the body, began investigations into the incident, asked for detectives to investigate it, and ordered the transfer of the body to the morgue of the General Hospital of Hurghada until the forensic examination.

One of the sources confirmed that the young man in his third decade was working in a bakery. He was absent a month ago and his death was known after the smell of the body in the area. The police station was informed of the incident.
