The Restos du cœur launches Thursday the new edition of "13 à table!", A collection of news sold 5 euros that allows the association to finance four meals. This year, the theme imposed on the sixteen authors is travel. Nicolas Mathieu, Leila Slimani and Michel Bussi participated in the writing of this new book.

Sixteen writers including Nicolas Mathieu, winner of the Goncourt prize in 2018, Leila Slimani, Philippe Jaenada, Michel Bussi and Yasmina Khadra lent their pens to the new edition of "13 à table!" A collection of news for the benefit of the Restos du cœur. Sold 5 euros, each book, available in bookstores from Thursday, allows the association created in 1985 by Coluche to finance four meals. The cover of the collection, published by Pocket, is illustrated by Riad Sattouf ("The Arab of the future", "The notebooks of Esther" ...). Esther is seen walking around the country reading a book from which hearts come out. The theme imposed this year on authors is travel.

Four million meals

Since 2014, the previous five editions of "13 at table!" have allowed Restos du cœur to distribute nearly four million additional meals. All the actors of the book chain (authors, distributors, booksellers, printers ...) participate voluntarily in this operation. The total revenue generated by the sale of the book is therefore donated to the Restos du cœur.
