INTERVIEW

Invited to Europe 1 on Philippe Vandel's TV show, Yvan Attal returns to the realization of his fourth film, My Stupid Dog , theatrically on Wednesday. In this feature film, where a father in the midst of a crisis in his fifties adopts a disgusting big dog, the actor shares the poster with his girlfriend for 20 years, Charlotte Gainsbourg.

"Our complicity is in the service of the film"

"This story is not ours, it's the story of the American novel John Fante that I adapted, I do not feel like putting my private life on the stage," says Yvan Attal . "If my life could be as funny as in the movie, it would be great!" The artist admits, however, that he slipped into the film videos and personal images to create the effects of backtracking.

This is the fourth time that Yvan Attal and Charlotte Gainsbourg have been working together on a shoot. Three years ago, the director filmed his wife in particular They are everywhere. "Our complicity is in the service of the film," he says. "I felt like working together was working in a more relaxed way but Charlotte is putting the pressure on herself!"
