“P3 Gold is Sweden's answer to the MTV Music Awards. That's the feeling I want to convey. We have so many galas that take themselves very seriously. It is nice to have a gala that is a little more relaxed, ”he says in a press release.
Swedish Radio also presents the first of the artists to perform at the gala - Victor Leksell, who earlier this year was praised with a Rock Bear for this year's breakthrough.
"I got the opportunity to go crazy last year and it just felt great so it's hard to grasp that I'm actually going to play there this year," he says.
The P3 Gold Gala takes place January 18 in Partille arena in Gothenburg and is broadcast live in P3 and SVT2, as well as on Sweden's Radio Play and SVT Play.
