30 years since the murder of Sakamoto's family, the memorial concert Niigata Joetsu October 28, 17:22

A commemorative concert was held in Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture, where Sakamoto's body was found 30 years before the Sakamoto lawyer family was murdered by Aum Shinrikyo's management.

Three of Sakamoto Tsutsumi, his wife Tosuko, and the 1-year-old eldest son Tatsuhiko-chan were killed by Aum Shinrikyo executives in November 1989 and buried separately.

In Natori-ku, Joetsu City, where Sakamoto was found dead in an attempt to prevent the weathering of the incident, local residents and intimate musicians hold concerts every year during this period.

Next month, 30 years after the murder, Katsumi Matsumoto, a violinist of the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, performed a classic “Humoresque” at the gymnasium of the local Takarada Elementary School.

Mr. Matsumoto said, “If you are alive, this song has been playing for Tatsuhiko, who is 31 years old. I think I had many dreams, so please listen to it with your dreams.” .

In addition, a song called “Songs of Trees” was played in a family that was not found in the mountains for nearly six years.

A 6th grade boy who listened to the performance said, "I thought that listening to music was not only a sadness, but a message to live without forgetting the incident."
