On October 28, 1969, the literary critic, writer and translator Korney Ivanovich Chukovsky did not become. One of the smartest and most talented people of his time, he did not have a complete “official” education: Chukovsky was expelled from the fifth grade of the gymnasium for his “low origin”. However, the future writer independently filled in all the gaps, after which he began to collaborate with leading editions of pre-revolutionary Russia as a correspondent and literary critic. Chukovsky’s works - reviews, numerous translations of prose and poetry from the English language and memoirs in which he talked about his contemporaries - had a tremendous impact on the development of Russian culture. However, Korney Chukovsky was widely known as the author of books for children, the creator of Moidodyr, Flies-Tsokotuhi, Aibolit and other works that have been loved by several generations.
