Our specialization in data, and its modern science, which is still in the process of continuous global discovery and development, may seem to be the biggest challenge we faced in our inception three years ago, especially when we are mandated to build an institution mandated to launch the Dubai Data Initiative from scratch in a country that only accepts excellence and first place. As a destination.

However, the biggest challenge, which later became our advantage, was the limited competence in data specialization, which resulted in us starting with a kernel team of no more than one hand, yet we were able to establish and launch the most comprehensive and innovative data initiative in the world.

The current era is an era of entrepreneurship and highly efficient teams, a benign infection that is slowly moving into government work around the world, but it has been a prominent feature in Dubai and the UAE for decades thanks to the vision of our leadership that the public and private sectors complement each other, and that the future of the state is an unfinished equation Write down both sides, especially when it comes to encouraging investment and entrepreneurship to be the incubator of the future global economy.

In March 2016, when the decision was made to establish Dubai Data Corporation and appoint me as its CEO, along with my role as Assistant General Manager of Smart Dubai, I was in a unique position globally, not for a job title, but for an unprecedented mission at the city level, which is to entrust a government agency. One is to undertake building, opening and sharing the data system and coordinating and leading efforts among all parties. The core team was challenging, but it was the cornerstone of the success of the Dubai Data Initiative as you see it today.

I do not want to overlook any of the competencies in the Dubai Smart Data team and our team in more than 50 government entities, because the article will not be able to mention their achievements. I thank each and every one of them, but in this space I will cite two examples that reflect the size of the role and the capabilities of citizenship that exceeds expectations.

For example, colleague Hamda Bin Demethan has been a strategic pillar for building Dubai's smart data governance system and has challenged itself to accomplish and enforce its policies and awareness program in record time. Sara Al Zarouni, who works with an extended team of data heroes in both government and private entities to achieve the goals of the initiative.

The moments of data in Dubai are made by a small team of great impact through systematic institutional work, advanced quality and raw materials.
