Enthusiastic thanks to the lighthouse at Cape Cape

Along with the “Imperial Ceremony”, a national flag was raised at the lighthouse at Cape Earth in Muroran City, Hokkaido.

This is done by the Japan Coast Guard at major lighthouses all over the country to celebrate the “Imperial Religion Ceremony” on the 22nd.

Among them, at the “Kikiu Cape Lighthouse” in Muroran City, two staff members from the Muroran Coast Guard Department attached a rope with flags from all over the world from the top of the lighthouse before 9 am.

At the observatory near the lighthouse, there were also tourists who photographed the national flag with a camera.

A woman from Asahikawa said, “I'm glad to see a lighthouse that I can't usually see. I hope that there will be no disaster.”

Mr. Shigenori Shimokawabe, Muroran Coast Guard, said, “I hope many people will see it and enhance the atmosphere of the Emperor ’s celebration.”

The national flag is raised until 4pm on the 22nd.
