"Tea or coffee" stopped in December 2018, after 22 years on the air. Her iconic host has returned to the after, in "L'Equipée sauvage", on Europe 1.

INTERVIEW

From 1996 to 2018, Catherine Ceylac welcomed more than 1,200 guests on her show Thé or Café on France 2. The last issue of the show was broadcast in December 2018. For 40 minutes, twice a month, the journalist received personalities from all horizons one-on-one. Nearly a year after stopping the program, she confided in L'Equipée sauvage on Europe 1.

"I thought I was better than that"

At the announcement of the Tea or Coffee stop, nearly 10,000 signatories immediately signed the petition to show their disagreement with this decision. Among them, nearly 200 personalities. "It made me very happy and made a little regret the program," says Catherine Ceylac, "but I admit that I thought to be more than that after the end of the show."

"I have a lightness that I have never known in 22 years"

If there is one essential thing that the journalist misses, "it is the public and the viewers". For the rest, Catherine Ceylac lives rather well "after Tea or Coffee ". "I have a lightness that I have never known in 22 years," she says.

On a daily basis, she has occupations she did not have before. "I have more delicacies for extremely different things - painting shows, masterclasses - things that I would not have had the idea or the time to do," she says. And for the moment, she has not planned to return to television. I am "a decompression and detoxification TV," she says.
