Ingalill Mosander: The reputation of the Literature Prize has dropped

When the Culture News asks Swedish and international names from the world of literature about the reputation of the literature prize, it becomes clear that Swedish voices feel that the reputation is damaged, while the international authors are more optimistic.

- The reputation has dropped after all the scandals that have been, says, among others, the literary critic Ingalill Mosander to the Culture News.

But Eva Illouz, a writer and sociology professor in Jerusalem, says that her view on the literary prize has not necessarily changed by the crisis in the Academy, and Italian Silvia Avallone looks bright on the situation.

- Now the Swedish Academy has an opportunity to set a good example, she says.
