“On the night of October 6-7, weather conditions are expected to worsen in some areas of the Moscow Region - weather forecasters predict a drop in temperature to negative levels, wet snow and sleet are possible,” the ministry’s press service said in a statement.

The ministry called on all road users to be careful on roads and pedestrian crossings.

“Avoid random maneuvering and sudden changes, exclude sudden braking and fast speed gain from a place, keep the distance and the lateral interval between cars, reduce speed in advance when approaching intersections and pedestrian crossings,” the department advised.

Drivers are also advised to take care of preparing cars for winter conditions and change tires in advance.

Earlier, the Russian Hydrometeorological Center reported that wet snow is expected in Moscow over the weekend.

Allergist-immunologist Daniil Shchepelyaev in an interview with URA.RU assessed the impact of sudden changes in atmospheric pressure and temperature on health.
