The cultural news review of Dabozzi Media's popular podcasts Swedish Murder Stories, Swedish Robbery, Ufopodden and Haemsökt has been able to present recurring and extensive cases of plagiarism. When SVT contacted Sebastian Krantz, creator of the podcasts, and publisher Bauer Media on Thursday, just hours later, they announced that parts of the catalog - consisting of hundreds of sections - should be unpublished and checked for plagiarism. Since the review began, several episodes have been deleted from Radioplay, Bauer Media's podcast platform.

- We will unpublish sections within the time period we suspect there is a risk of plagiarism, says Sebastian Krantz.

- We have to look through every section and simply do the right thing for us, right now there is a lot of confusion for us.

How many episodes are these?

- It's hard to say right now, but there are many sections that we will check. Hopefully, the majority of these don't contain plagiarized content, but we expect it to take some time.

According to Krantz, sections that do not contain plagiarism should be reloaded, and those that are covered with copied material should be redone.

Apologies to the listeners

Dabozzi media has been producing podcasts since 2016, reaching more than 200,000 listeners each week. Swedish Murder Stories, their biggest title, is Sweden's fifth most popular podcast. But the Cultural News review shows that four of the company's podcasts contain plagiarism in several different sections, and that both publisher Bauer Media and producers Dabozzi media have known the plagiarism for several years. Sebastian Krantz believes that they have failed in responsibility, and would like to apologize to their listeners.

- The only thing you do is to apologize, you can't blame anyone. This is our responsibility. And I understand that people get upset, especially our listeners, ”he tells Culture News.

Bauer Media, which distributes and sells ads to all four podcasts in our review, has declined an interview with the Culture News.
