Banksy's painting was sold for $ 12.2 million

In October 2018, one of Banksy’s most famous paintings, A Girl with a Ball, was sold at auction for £ 1,042 million ($ 1.4 million). After the sale, it was destroyed by a paper shredder hidden in a frame.
