A mixed media entry, between the fictions queens and entertainment abused. Channels have already made adjustments.

One month after the start of the school year, the channels can already draw an initial assessment. François Rousseau journalist and Kévin Boucher editor-in-chief of Pure Média, decrypt the return of the small screen at micro Europe 1 of Culture Media, the show of Philippe Vandel

Little news for this fall. Fictions remain the stars. Two unpublished programs proposed by TF1 such as "Time is assassin" or "The share of doubt", inspired by the story of Xavier Dupont Ligonnès gathered 5 million viewers. On Canal + the new series "Les sauvages" breaks all records. On France Television, brands like "Murder to" or "The small murders of Agatha Christie" continue to work well.

France 2 in trouble on his morning.

With the judgment of "Motus", the morning of France 2 has been largely reworked. The fiction "Such a great sun" has half the audience than Sophie Davant. The best-of "It starts today", presented by Faustine Bollaert, does not work either in the morning despite a cardboard in the afternoon.

Another failure for the channel, "You have the floor," the talk show of Lea Salamé and Thomas Sotto. She also had a facelift for this season: decorations in the American style, agora with many speakers. But the first broadcast ended in a flop: only 1.27 million viewers. For the next edition, on October 17th, the team reviewed its copy: only one topic of debate, fewer speakers and the return of a main political guest more present. The debate of editorialists in the second half of the evening is also coming back.

Change also for the show "We are not lying" Laurent Ruquier who, although it maintains its solid base, knows a decline in viewers. Despite the return with fanfare with Yann Moix's mea-culpa, the show barely made talk about her. The facilitator and the production therefore decided on some adjustments. Columnist Adele Van Reeth, present during the interview with Yann Moix, should be back very regularly. A step back from the initial desire to no longer have fixed chroniclers during the show. "She made a very good impression to the viewers", confirms François Rousseau.

Beneficial changes on France Télévisions

The changes in strategy, because of budget savings, have managed to create the good surprise. The newspaper Soir 3 positioned at 11 pm on France Info brings together 140,000 spectators. Even if it is far from the 600,000 loyal to France 3, this allows the news channel to continue to double the number of hearings on this time slot. Good surprise: defector, stage 2 bet succeeded 1.7 Sunday at 20h.

The new show, Claire Chazal's "The passage of the arts" on France 5 made a good comeback, then some empty passages. With less than 1% market share, audiences are slow. But the formula of the show is totally redesigned: two reports, the interview on the set. .

Flops on the sides of the entertainment

"The great Darka", presented by Cyril Hanouna on the old box of "Terriens" Thierry Ardisson struggles to mobilize. "We were promised humoristic columnists, sensors of public laughter: we have none of that," explains Kevin Boucher. "It's a mix between the children of the TV and Touch not to my post". The viewers are half as numerous as Thierry Ardisson: 330,000 against 650,000 at the same time. "They are not at all the same audiences," says François Rousseau.

For TF1 it is also the disappointment with the new season of "Dance with the stars". The first brought together 3.6 million spectators, one million less than the previous year. Last Saturday, the channel was even beaten by "Meurtre à Lille", the telefilm detective on France 3. "We know almost the dancers," jokes François Rousseau. Eliminated Saturday, Liane Foly will also be on the set of the "Great Darka" and promises revelations on the show.

The talk show war

Daily Yann Barths remains champion of audiences with 13 million viewers, or 5.5% of the public. "They were doped more by the Jean-Luc Melanchon trial, they had exclusive images," said François Rousseau.

"C à vous", presented by Anne-Sophie Lemoine is making a historic comeback: the bar of a million viewers has been crossed more than once since September. And the guests were handpicked: Francois Hollande, Catherine Deneuve, Nicolas Sarkozy, Woody Allen or Iggy Pop.

On C8, "Do not touch my post" slightly raises the bar by passing over a million viewers each night for its second part. As for the newcomer on Canal +, Clique presented by Mouloud Achour, the return is more laborious: 84,000 viewers on average for both parts of the show. Despite an improvement of 12% compared to the previous square last year, the air holes remain numerous with sometimes only 50,000 spectators. "He reassures himself by saying that on the digital it works", explains François Rousseau.

Large hearings to come

The real TV war is starting now with bad weather. And the chains have kept cartridges in reserve. On TF1, from Monday, the TV movie on Alzheimer's disease "The first forgotten" with Muriel Robin and M.Pokora looks like a box of hearing. The channel also has in reserve the series "The bazaar of charity", a partnership with Netflix with period costumes. "It promises to be huge," enthuses Kevin Boucher. A new entertainment game also "The masked Singer" presented by Camille Combal should appear on the screens. The concept comes from the United States: masked personalities will sing, you have to guess who.

On M6, star entertainers are coming back for new programs. Christina Cordula will present a new program "Objectif 10 years less". Julien Courbet and Stéphane Plaza will also head a new real estate issue.

Finally, France Television is not left out. France 3 will release two unpublished episodes of Captain Marleau, worn by actress Corinne Masiero. And there will be guests: André Manoukian, Kad Merad or Joey Starr. Two new adventure games will also be presented: "Boyard Land", the "Fort Boyard" summer and "The race champions", presented by Teddy Riner.
