Shaya says that since the first day of her knowledge of this world, she was keen to delve deeper into her secrets, and to start educating herself by watching horror movies, but not with the ordinary viewer, so she focused on all the details of the faces, wounds and distortions that she sees, and then she looked at the world of YouTube and other sites. Social networking, books that provide all the fine details in makeup tricks.
At the beginning of her career in the world of makeup, Shaya relied on simple tools, such as wax, paper tissue and clay, to apply what she saw in films, but with her proficiency in designing all forms of wounds and deformities, and professionalism of this kind of unconventional art, resorted to the use of silicone, in addition to some materials that Some are surprised, like rice and some kitchen items.
Family rejection

The wound as if it was real, and knowing the talent manager asked her to design some wounds to explain them, especially for new doctors.

Dreaming of a global horror film
Shaya dreams that the coming period will see the production of an Arab horror film, which will do all the effects of its own, and open doors to the world to add the name of her country in the field of art that still lacks the fingerprints in the UAE. Fatim Shaya called on her generation to exploit their talents, believing that everyone has talent within them, and only needs to believe in them in order to create and innovate in their field and not get bored.
Her talent started from a joke with the hospital doctor, who did not believe the wound was fake, and she began designing wounds to train new doctors.
