Concerns about long working hours due to increased side job and part-time work.

In addition to the main business, there is concern that long working hours will occur due to the increase in side jobs and part-time jobs, so the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare will grasp and manage the working hours of people working in multiple workplaces. I started to study.

Representatives of trade unions and economic organizations attended the council held by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare on the 26th.

According to a survey by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, the number of people employed at multiple workplaces was approximately 1,288,000, an increase of 25% compared to 10 years ago, of which the income of the main business was 2.99 million yen or less Accounts for 70%.

While there are concerns that people will be forced to work side-by-side for a long time and have to work long hours, it is also pointed out that it is difficult for companies to understand the working hours at other workplaces.

Participants expressed negative opinions about working in multiple workplaces, such as “We should prepare a working environment where people can live without having to do side work” in the first place.

In the council, we will discuss how to manage working hours in multiple workplaces by self-reporting and managing them loosely, and how to keep track of each business owner and not the total. Based on this discussion, we will consider whether the system needs to be revised.
