His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, received yesterday morning in the circuit of Dr. Sultan Al Qasimi, members of the Board of Directors of the Union of UAE Writers and Writers.

His Highness began the meeting with mercy on the deceased of the literary and cultural scene writer Habib Sayegh, Chairman of the Federation, saying: «We condolize ourselves and condolences of writers, writers, intellectuals and the Arab world with the death of writer Habib Sayegh».

He also praised the efforts of the deceased in enriching the cultural scene with many valuable publications and writings, in addition to his efforts in supporting literary affairs, spreading Arab culture and discussing national issues, calling on the council members to complete the process of cultural and literary giving.

His Highness also discussed with the Board of Directors a number of cultural topics that concern Emirati writers and ways to support them and provide the best services and environments stimulating them, and increase cultural and literary activities to serve the UAE intellectuals and writers.

His Highness stressed the importance of supporting Emirati writers and discovering literary talents, and support their publications and access to various local, regional and global levels.

He also called on the UAE Writers Union to expand the fields of cooperation and cultural exchange with writers' unions in the Arab world, thus contributing to the exchange of experiences and benefit from the experiences and in support of Arab culture.

For their part, the members of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Writers Union appreciated the directives of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, and his unlimited support for Emirati writers and writers to reach the UAE writer and intellectual to the highest levels.
