Beats produced by Steven Soderberg and directed by Brian Welsh is not the only movie on the fox theme right now. Artist Jeremy Deller has made a documentary on the acid house scene in 1980s Britain, and Gaspar Noé's 2018 film Climax depicts a kind of degenerate fox.

- The reef culture in Britain emerged at the end of the Thatcher era and it was characterized by neoliberalism and increasing social divisions, and this was reflected in club life. There was a lot of focus on surface and that you should look right. It was very segregated and then the reef culture became a backlash to that, says Anna Gavanas, DJ and social anthropologist.
