The new sightseeing train “Sanmei”, which JR Hokkaido will start operating from the middle of this month, was unveiled on the 8th.

For the Yamamei issue, JR Hokkaido renovated the conventional vehicle. In the image of majestic nature, the car body is painted in deep green and has a pattern with a wood motif.
In addition, the interior was decorated with straps and tables made of wood from Hokkaido, and visitors enjoyed taking photos and touching them with their hands.
The Sanmei is scheduled to start operation in the middle of this month, and usually runs as a regular train mainly on the Hakodate Line and the Gakuen Toshi Line.
