Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada) has completed 89% of the construction of the new Al Ain Hospital project, in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), at a cost of more than AED 4.4 billion, on a construction area of ​​347 thousand square meters.

Musanada asserted that work is underway on the project according to the plan set for implementation, and according to the time period set for completion, noting that it completed 99% of the services building, 96% of the main building, 97% of the electromechanical works and 89% of the architectural works.

The company pointed out that about 3100 workers through 6 major contracts are racing against time to complete all the work of the project in record time according to the highest standards and the highest international standards, where the project started work in March 2014, and the completion of the concrete works for the main building and the service building, and the completion of metal structures For the project, the operation and delivery of the main power plant.

Musanada completed the operation of 10 substations through coordination with Al Ain Distribution Company and started the initial operational tests of the new hospital systems in accordance with the plan to start handing over the project facilities to Abu Dhabi Health Services Company - SEHA. .

In addition, the supply and installation of modern lighting systems with low electricity consumption and low heat emission have been approved for all hospital facilities.

The new Al Ain Hospital is a true hospital oasis designed to the highest international standards with unique natural and aesthetic specifications combining the provision of the latest medical technology and natural atmosphere that simulate the distinctive character of Al Ain.

For its part, Abu Dhabi Health Services Company «SEHA» said that the new Al Ain Hospital will provide integrated medical services to the people of Al Ain region in accordance with the latest international practices and standards in the field of medical facilities, and to improve the quality of health services provided to community members.

The total number of beds in the new hospital is 719 beds distributed in general medicine, surgery, pediatrics and maternity, intensive care, medical rehabilitation, VIP and royal wards, in addition to 104 advanced specialized outpatient clinics, 17 units of radiology and CT and magnetic, and 22 specialized units for diagnosis and endoscopy In the new hospital, the beds are divided into 510 beds for general medicine, surgery, pediatrics and maternity, 67 intensive care beds and 142 medical rehabilitation beds.The hospital also includes a teaching and simulation building equipped with simulation rooms, learning rooms and a central library.

The project includes 1573 parking lots on two underground floors, as well as some external buildings such as: Administrative Building, Al Ain Central Morgue, Service Building, Logistics Building and Main Power Station.

The hospital is a pioneering project in the use of solar panels to generate clean electrical power (4700 panels with a total capacity of 1.5 MW) that meet part of its needs and save on operating costs. It contributes to the shade of the external windows, which helps keep the building cool inside, as well as the use of interior curtains linked to a smart control system that moves automatically depending on the external weather conditions and the atmosphere.

SEHA, in collaboration with Musanada, has adopted innovative technologies to reduce wastage in water use by installing special valves to save water in the hospital facilities. Distillation water will be collected from air conditioners and rainwater for use in garden irrigation.
