Recently, there was a book known as a gift that President Moon Jae-in presented to Blue House employees during the summer vacation. The book, which analyzes the characteristics of the 90's, called the Millennials, has already been a bestseller since last year, but once again became known as the president's recommendation book. It may be a reflection of a country's leader's interest in the important social climate or issue of the time.

In a time when it may be called the transition period of civilization, those who spend their youth are clearly different from the older generation in terms of work orientation, life values, lifestyle, and adaptability to technology. The desperation that we cannot move on to a new era without understanding this new human being seems to be spreading throughout society.

As the millennials that prioritize individuality as one being and seek their own meanings emerge in the front of society, there are more and more crippled and bursting beings. There are also 'young braids' in their twenties, but the word braiding nowadays shows criticism and resentment against the unsensed elders who open up the boundaries of others who do not hesitate to be unhappy and unreasonable with age and authority.

Eventually, even in the middle and late thirties, it is a synonym for a person who wants to be far away and a person who is behind the times. Not just because of the conflict between the youth and the older generation, but because of a more fundamental and enormous change in the world.

Therefore, many books have appeared in the book community to give a glimpse of various discourses and their ideas about the new generation. The emergence of a new generation will change the enormous topography of economics, politics, and culture, but it is already calling for many changes in our daily lives.

"You're braided? How did you turn into a manager mind?"

I doubted my ears. Listening to two words that are never pleasant, it also hears at the same time. Four friends were gathering and talking about their juniors who were in charge of a small or large company. Because I was in charge, I had to swallow before him, the things that made my chest charcoal! No. But I am braided? The direction of the conversation shifted to defending why I wasn't braided.

Sadly, as the voice raged, my mark went deeper, and I could not deny it myself. As the position of the 'jang' became accustomed to the body, the more I could use the authority, the stronger the thoughts and attitudes became. Long sermons with interviews were frequent, and conversations were overwhelming in external meetings. I tried to talk freely during the meeting and said that I was struggling to break the awkward silence, but I was busy talking alone. In the face of other opinions and criticisms of juniors, the expressions used to be firm.

Around the same time, there was a publication lecture by famous celebrity Park Woong-hyun with young juniors about creativity. He spoke in front of and behind the lectures, but he was impressed by the way he wanted to shine as many juniors on stage as possible.

"Now let's finish the lecture ..."
"Uh ... hey, I have a question." I wanted to ask even if I was shy.
"Publishing is about creating creative results just like in advertising companies. How do you make your team work creatively without being tied up in these organizations?"

Here is a summary of the quite long and kind answers. "You should listen well. It is not important not to be blindly tied, it is the first to understand and listen properly from their point of view."

The reason why the word 'braid' is uncomfortable to people is obviously that there was a time when it was more challenging and flexible, because it seems to resemble the people I criticized at that time.

Park's message is simple but clear. Keeping the basics of human relationships and striving for self-reflection, rather than special and artificial prescriptions to be a cool senior, is the beginning of protecting yourself from the virus. As the H1N1 flu epidemic, wash your hands more often, at least cover your mouth and cough in public. If the virus has already infiltrated, you should be more careful now.
