Avengers: Endgame , Aladdin , The Lion King ... The successes of Disney studios are linked and beat all records. Between his remakes of his animated classics, the recent takeover of the Fox and the highly anticipated release of suites, Disney is emerging as the new juggernaut of world cinema, and puts pressure on its competitors.

If it has just been beaten on French soil by The Lion King , Avengers: Endgame can still boast of having become the most profitable movie in history. The symbol of a record year for Disney, which has since January 2019 more than 7 billion in revenue, more than the whole of 2016.

In the United States, the studio occupies a share twice that of its competitors Warner and Universal. As reported Buzzfeed News, the only two this year's foreign successes at Disney are action or horror movies, far from the mainstream of Mickey's studio.

A finding that has clearly understood Sony, who placed the US release of Quentin Tarantino's new film two weeks after that of the Lion King , which gave him a second place at the box office.

Moving towards less family-oriented films might be enough for Disney's rivals, hoping the movie giant will run out of steam. The next releases of the giant are not distinguished by their originality, since it is new versions of Mulan and The Little Mermaid , as well as suites of The Frozen and Star Wars .
