An educator has been sentenced to two years and nine months in prison for sexual abuse of a 13-year-old in Berlin. The district court Tiergarten had pronounced the sentence after the woman had previously been largely confessed.

A total of three times it had come to sexual acts with her then protege in a youth welfare institution, it said in the verdict. The accused, on the other hand, said the boy wanted sex with her. She had repeatedly told him that this was punishable. "Nevertheless, it has come to that."

The woman worked as a caregiver for children in residential groups. The abuses were said to have occurred during the service of the woman between March and October 2017. It started with a kiss from the tongue in an office, admitted the supervisor in the process. The defendant himself is the mother of a twelve-year-old son and was released after the allegations became known.

Finally, it had come on the initiative of the 13-year-old to unprotected intercourse. "In his bed and a few months later on the couch," confessed the 22-year-old woman. She has crossed borders and "somehow lost control".

The defense attorney said that his client wanted to build a "closeness through understanding" in the problematic group, and therefore pleaded for a so-called minor case of abuse. However, the court accepted the prosecutor's request, which in two cases was based on serious child abuse.
