This weekend, with the mobilization of yellow vests throughout the Hexagon, fake images of rallies circulated on social networks. Here are two.

Some 13,000 yellow vests have decided Monday to continue blocking operations for a third day in a row. This weekend, Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 November, they were not far from 300 000 demonstrators spread over more than 2000 sites, according to the figures given by the ministry. Result, images suggesting to rallies of protesters, have been widely relayed on Facebook and Twitter.

The rugby clubs of Clermont-Ferrand

"It's nice to see that there are people for Yellow Vests as well as for the World Cup! The French are waking up! Bravo " , could we read in caption of a photo (below) shared this weekend on Facebook by a user. Relayed nearly 70,000 times, this image shows the famous place of Jaude, Clermont-Ferrand (Puy-de-Dome), crowded with demonstrators, if we believe the post shared on the social network. Except that in reality, this photo does not date from this Saturday, November 17, but from May 13, 2017. That day, thousands of supporters had gathered during the final of the European Rugby Cup which opposed ASM Clermont-Auvergne to Saracens.

This AFP photo was taken in the place indicated, but on May 13, 2017. It shows supporters of the rugby club Clermont, gathered to attend the final of the Champions Cup against the Saracens 2/4 pic.twitter. com / 8QgpJUXqfj

Saturday, there was the presence of Yellow Vests Jaude place, but not as much as there is more than a year for the sporting event, as shown a local journalist France 3 Auvergne on Twitter.

"Just to be clear: how many yellow vests do you see on this image? Asks a Twittos to President Emmanuel Macron Saturday, November 17. And for good reason, this second "fake news" relayed thousands of times, shows an image on which we can see a road blocked by a compact crowd of yellow vests. But there, again, a detail raises question: the presence of red vests.

This photo broadcast last night (+ 1.000 RT & 1.300 likes) appeared weird because of the presence of vests ... oranges.

It dates from February 1, 2014 and was taken during a demonstration of cross-border workers in Saint-Louis (Haut-Rhin) 1/6 pic.twitter.com/WRbiXMgWy5
