Emmanuel Macron went Sunday morning to the Arc de Triomphe theater of violence and damage Saturday during the demonstration of "yellow vests". The damage is important in this monument, symbol of the history of France.

The Arc de Triomphe was the epicenter of the clashes that occurred Saturday on the sidelines of the Yellow Vests event.

This is where it all started around 8:30 am, when protesters tried to push back the police roadblocks at the top of the Champs Elysées. Slogans were tagged on the flanks of the monument, several clashes with the police, a ceremony improvised by the yellow vests improvised around the flame of the Unknown Soldier, but most importantly, individuals managed to get on the roof of the monument breaking everything in the process.

A few hours before the visit of the President of the Republic, Philippe Bélaval, president of the Center des monuments nationaux posted some pictures of the damage on his Twitter account.
