Saturday, November 24, the Yellow Vests are expected in Paris to protest against rising fuel prices. The event, which is organized on Facebook, was launched by the Seine-et-Marnais at the origin of the national movement.

"We all work, Eric Drouet is road, it is difficult to join the week, when he is in break he sleeps. It's been a month that we are on this and we are all very tired. Virginie lives in the south of Seine-et-Marne. This acting logistics agent, along with seven other Parisians, is behind the first call to demonstrate against rising fuel taxes.

"I'm impacted because I'm 140 kilometers back and forth a day," explains the young woman by phone. I tried the bus, the train, the carpooling: the easiest and fastest way to go to work is the car. "

Saturday, Virginie will be on the Place de la Concorde, in Paris, on the occasion of "act 2" . This call invites all French yellow jackets to meet in the capital to bring a "coup de grace" to the government's tax policy. Interview.

Why did you organize a rally in Paris on Saturday?

This is the continuity of November 17. Many people moved last Saturday but the government does not loose anything, so we do not loose anything on our side. The goal is to be even more numerous this weekend.

Do you have an idea of the number of people who will demonstrate on the Place de la Concorde?

We would like to regroup the people who were already present with us last Saturday. We made a national call for the people in the departments to organize themselves and go up to the capital [On Facebook, 28 000 people say to participate, 192 000 are interested Ed].

Can you explain what is planned?

We do not want to give details about what will happen. We want to do something discreet, we will not arrive in the capital with yellow vests but as citizens who want to visit the Concorde. The goal is to arrive like ordinary citizens without yellow vests without anything. We will then do like a flash-mob, everyone will put on his vest and suddenly we will appear.

Have you since had contacts with other organizers of gatherings all over France?

No, we do not have links. It's impossible to manage, there are too many events going on. People follow us on the basic idea, on our side we try to manage our own Facebook page which is already quite complicated. On social networks, everyone has ideas and offers a lot of things: we try to see what is possible. We are not part of the political world, nor of the CGT, we will never demonstrate.

Did you doubt the magnitude of your call to protest on November 17?

Basically, it started from scratch. We wanted to do something with friends with ten cars. It was planned to make a trip on the ring road. After a spin, we had 200,000 requests on the page of the event and we understood the magnitude that took the event. When we saw the world on November 17 we said it's good, we won.

Some organizers call to lift blockages, do you share this position?

No. Yesterday, Monday, I was at the Grandpuits refinery until midnight. We will continue the blockages. Now the goal is to target strategic locations to penalize ultra-rich companies and annoy Macron.

Since the beginning of the mobilization, have you had contact with the authorities?

The only contact we had was with the police headquarters in Paris before November 17th. The authorities knew we would go on the ring road. We were given instructions that we respected for the safety of all. On the spot, the police tried to block us without being able to enter the device, we negotiated to be able to go out and to lower the tension. Since then, we have not heard from anyone. Nobody came to talk to us or tried to intimidate us.
