The stepfather of a murdered girl from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, who was suspected of murder, was arrested, according to the police. He was arrested near Anklam and was on his way to the police with his lawyer.
According to prosecutors, the man is said to have mistreated the six-year-olds so much that she died on January 12 in the family home. The man had escaped from the police station on January 14, when he was arrested. He is accused of murder by omission.
