From Saint-Malo to Saint-Cast-Le-Guildo, forty IUTs will play three challenges, at sea and on land, on April 12, 13 and 14, 2019.
The IUT West-France Student Regatta, fifteenth of the name, will take place on April 12, 13 and 14, 2019. This is what announced the organizers and partners, gathered Thursday, November 15, in Saint-Brieuc.
Recognized by the French Sailing Federation (FFV), this national sports event, created in 2004, continues to grow. Next year, more than forty IUTs, one third of the university institutes in France, will be present!
"Talent and envy"
At the helm, the association Nauticom, composed of nine students in second year of DUT marketing techniques, and their tutor, Christophe Bouffant, professor at the IUT Saint-Brieuc. "This is a group where there is talent and desire," said Gerard Blégean, deputy mayor of Saint-Brieuc.
The competitors of the 2019 edition will play three challenges. In the first place, the famous race at sea: about forty crews will sail for three days between Saint-Malo and Saint-Cast-Le-Guildo. This race is listed on the FFV calendar.
The second challenge will reward the team that has produced the best communication plan throughout the year. This plan must allow participants to solicit partners to help fund their participation in the regatta.
Finally, the adventure challenge is a challenge combining physical and intellectual performance. It takes place on land and at sea.

In addition to the sporty and friendly aspect, the challenge allows students from all over France to discover Brittany from a tourist point of view.
