Tesla has announced the development of new technology that will reduce the time required to recharge the batteries of these vehicles to about 15 minutes.

In addition to other changes, Tesla's new supercharging network, called Supercharging 3, will cut the time needed to charge electric vehicles, the company said in a statement. Tesla aims to reach twice the current daily capacity of vehicles that can be shipped at the end of this year.
Construction of the first station of the new network is scheduled to begin next month. Following the launch of the technology in North America, it will be transported to Europe and then the Asia-Pacific region during the fourth quarter of this year, Tesla said in a statement.
