This is reported by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Kamchatka Territory with reference to the service of urgent reports of the city of Obninsk.

“The magnitude of the first seismic event was 4.5, the second - 4.8. Both earthquakes occurred in the Pacific Ocean, ”RIA Novosti reports.

It is noted that the epicenter of one of the earthquakes was located 112 km south-west of the village of Nikolsky in the Aleutian region.

The Emergencies Ministry added that the tremors were not felt in the settlements of Kamchatka.

Earlier, a 4.7-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Kamchatka.
