Francis Joyon won the eleventh edition of the Route du Rhum on the wire, ahead of François Gabart by 7 minutes and 8 seconds.

Alan Roura, the Swiss skipper of La Fabrique advanced in the final, skipper Hennebontais Stéphane Le Diraison on his Imoca Time for Oceans. A gap of just five minutes after more than 15 days of racing. The Swiss finished 7th in Imoca, the Breton 8 th.
