The Cannes skipper Gilles Lamiré crossed the finish line of the Route du Rhum this Sunday, November 18th. He arrived at Pointe à Pitre at 8:34 am (Paris time), or at night in Guadeloupe, after 13 days, 18 hours, 34 minutes and 38 seconds of racing.

The skipper of the French Tech Saint Malo Rennes finished 4th in the Multi50 category, 2 days 11 hours 1 minute and 58 seconds behind the winner Armel Tripon.

Without foils

Only competitor engaged on a boat not equipped with foils, Gilles Lamiré realized a very beautiful race. He is one of only two sailors in the Multi50 class who did not stop along the way.

His arrival was celebrated in the night, in the rain, but with a broad smile of the skipper.
