The navigator Eric Bellion will experience a different challenge for his first Route du Rhum. He will do the transat on a schooner, called As a single man, to learn to decelerate.

Few skippers can boast on a boat equipped with cabins, a kitchen and a living room with fireplace, paintings on the walls, fabric armchairs and wood interior. The skipper Eric Bellion is certainly sailing on the most luxurious boat of this Route du Rhum. A classic schooner of 21 meters, a beautiful boat reminiscent of old sailboats.

Beautiful, that's for sure, but certainly not the most powerful ... "I chose a support that will go slower to learn to decelerate," says the atypical skipper. Eric Bellion is adept of adventures that take a step aside.

" Dare the difference "

For fifteen years, he has been carrying a strong message for difference. "Because it is by daring the difference and going to the unknown that we meet," says the sailor-philosopher.

Two years ago, he was racing for the Vendée Globe when the challenge was "too big" for him. He shot the film Comme un seul homme, "a filmed adventure to tell the transcendence , " which will be released at the cinema on February 13th.

On the Route du Rhum, he wants to experience another way of running by answering a question: "do we feel the same sensations when we go slower? " Answer on arrival.
