A hunter shot an 86-year-old woman in her garden in Rhineland-Palatinate. The 60-year-old had participated in a hunt in Dalberg, as the police in Bad Kreuznach reported.

The experienced hunter fired accordingly first a shot at a boar - and then another on a boar off. The hunter was alone in the near accident area.

Why the elderly woman was hit in the garden of her house on Sunday is unclear. The investigators are hoping that the autopsy of the body and the search for clues on site will be carried out.

The prosecutor Bad Kreuznach determined because of negligent homicide against the hunter.
