Whoever is in charge of claiming alleged attacks elsewhere in the otherwise confessional terrorist militia "Islamic State" (IS), was not quite in the post. It took an unusually long time for IS to officially designate the Assassin of Strasbourg as one of its "soldiers". Maybe the militia currently has other worries. But maybe even the terrorist organization is getting tired of it, that every criminal puts his actions at the last minute with "Allahu akbar!" wants to give a cultural militant sense.

From everything we know, Frenchman Chérif Chekatt was a serial criminal offender. German authorities have certified the multiple sentenced intensive care perpetrators a "characteristically characterized by ruthless profit motives personality structure". Who, one might wonder, actually gave him the mandate to "attack our way of life"? Does such an act, brutal and meaningless, really cause "a whole country in mourning"?

France: fatal shots in Strasbourg

The current demonstrations and riots of the yellow vests have so far claimed six lives in France. In public perception, these six human lives are evidently nothing more than the tragic but unfortunately unavoidable collateral damage of social unrest. But why at the same time this consecration of Chérif Chekatt? Why is the shabby violence given the greater importance that the culprit wanted to give her - and thus herself?

Almost relieved, the media, not only in France, responded to the news that not only an already cornered criminal had broken through, but that a "jihadist" was at work. The meaningless has a name for it: terror, Islamist. Almost forgot that the guy with his 27 judicial conviction was previously criminally criminal. Above all, it is exciting to see where and how he has "radicalized" himself, finding himself in jail for toxic junk religiosity and giving his botched existence a final twist.

For the media is "terror!" First, an outrage that they willingly reinforce and offer to their audience. For the state is "Allahu Akbar!" second, a stimulus to which he can react with executive power and symbolic gravity - unlike, for example, citizens of the Yellow West who refer to Asterix and Obelix. Third, there are also people in this country, their racism - the man was of North African descent! - reluctant to be clouded.

Thus, Udo Lielischkies, formerly a correspondent for the ARD in Moscow and Washington, has caught a shitstorm of enormous wind force from the right direction because he had pointed to the absurdity of "public risk perception" in view of the countless victims of "multidrug-resistant hospital germs". It would only have been worse had he tared the victims of domestic violence or the fatalities on Germany's wonderful motorways in his tweet arithmetic considerations.

The allegation against Lielischkies reads, adjusted for the usual obscenities and spelling mistakes, he "relativize the terror". It is true that in this world everything is relative. Only the terror is not, it is always total. He should, according to the extreme right, be met with totalitarian methods. Who "relativizes" limits the value of a thing, weakens its meaning. This is exactly what you need.

Strasbourg is a perfect example of a stick that we should not blindly jump over. Out of respect for the victims and their families, but also out of respect for "our way of life".

Provided reason plays a role in it.
